The Prince Albert Police Service charges a $35.00 fee (CASH only) for Criminal Record Checks for in city residents and Rural residents can obtain one at their local R.C.M.P. Detachment.

To apply for a Criminal Record check the applicant must attend in person at the Prince Albert Police Service located at 45 - 15th Street West, between the hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday to Friday, excluding Statutory holidays. You can download the Criminal Record Check form from the web site and complete all portions of the form, which then has to be brought into the Prince Albert Police Service between the above hours, in person. Your processing fee will also be required at this time.

You will need to produce two pieces of identification. One piece needs to be a picture ID. Examples of acceptable forms of identification are: Driver's License, Passports, Birth Certificate, Saskatchewan Health Care, Social Insurance Number, Treaty Card, Possession and Acquisition Licence)

Forms of payment accepted by the Prince Albert Police Service cash only. The processing time for the criminal record check is seven to ten business days. You will be able to pick up the completed check after 1:00 PM following the seven to ten business days.

Completed checks will only be given to the applicant. If the applicant is unable to pick up the criminal record check, arrangements must be made with the Police Service at the time of completing the application.

For those individuals with criminal records, the Prince Albert Police Service will not release the details of the criminal record. To obtain a detailed synopsis of your criminal record, you must be fingerprinted by the Prince Albert Police and submit your fingerprints with a certified cheque or money order in the amount of $25 to the RCMP in Ottawa. Fingerprints are taken and forward to "RCMP Identification Services Box 8885 Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0R2". The RCMP will respond by letter directly to the applicant who in turn, will produce the results of the Criminal Record to the Organization/Firm or Company.
