  • September 11, 2014 - Updates/Homicide/Criminal Pursuit
    Homicide Update Police are confirming the identity of the male who was the victim of the homicide on September 6, 2014. Cory Donald Brown, 43 years old, was found deceased in a residence located in the 1100 block of 14th Street West. An autopsy was conducted yesterday however the results will not be released. The investigation continues.

    Homicide #2014-26252 The Prince Albert Police Service is continuing their investigation into the homicide that was reported on Saturday evening. On Sunday, Police executed a search warrant on the residence in the 1100 block of 14th Street West. Forensic investigators continue to gather evidence at scene.   • Weekend Update - August 7, 2014
    The Prince Albert Police responded to approximately 195 calls for service from Friday 6:00 pm to Sunday at noon. A total of 43 persons were taken into police custody. 21 of those arrests were for being intoxicated in a public place. The majority of the calls were for disturbances, intoxicated persons and reports of impaired driving complaints.

    The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating a homicide which occurred in the 1100 block of 14th Street West. On September 6, 2014 at 6:38pm the Police received a call from Parkland Ambulance to assist them at a residence for an unconscious male who was not breathing. Upon arrival at scene officers located a deceased male.

    Tomorrow is the first day of school for many of our children here in Prince Albert. The Police Service would kindly like to remind motorists to be aware as many of our children make their return to school by walking, riding bicycles and taking the bus Starting tomorrow all posted school speed zones will be in effect. The speed limit in a posted school zones is 30km/hr. The Prince Albert Traffic Section will be monitoring all school zones within City limits.
