The Prince Albert Police Service is advising the public to be vigilant and to report suspicious activity to the Police after receiving three separate reports of youth being approached by suspicious vehicles. File # 2018-7801: Drug Charges  On Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at approximately 9:45 p.m. Prince Albert Police Service officers pulled over a car in the parking lot of a hotel on 4000 Block 2nd Avenue West after Police received a tip that the occupants were trafficking methamphetamine. Prince Albert Police Service Patrol Unit and Police Service Dog (PSD) Febee nabbed a break-and-enter suspect early this morning. On March 21, 2018 at 2:55 a.m. patrol responded to a call that two males in dark clothing were attempted to break into vehicles on Kelly Place. Prince Albert Police Service had a busy weekend, responding to 243 calls for service between Friday evening and Monday morning. Officers made 54 arrests, 30 of the arrests were for people being intoxicated in a public place.  The top three calls for service were for intoxicated persons, disturbances and evictions. Prince Albert Police Service asking the public to be aware of counterfeit bills

The Prince Albert Police Service is asking businesses to be cautious when accepting large bills and to take steps to ensure their authenticity after several businesses were recently targeted with counterfeit bills. There has been a recent surge of counterfeit bills in Prince Albert with three incidents reported by businesses so far in 2018 and 12 complaints of suspected counterfeit bills from 2017 compared to two incidents reported in 2015 and in 2016.
