The Prince Albert Police Service responded to 296 calls for service over the weekend. We made 53 arrests with 24 of those being for intox.
The River Runners Canoe trip left this morning from the Police Station. They will be traveling from Fort Carlton to Prince Albert via river and arriving back in Prince Albert Thur July 22 at approx 4PM at the 3rd Ave E boat launch. You may contact Dave Schluff at 960-2526 for more information.

On July 17, 2010 police attended the 1000 block of 7th St E for a mischief complaint. On arrival, four males were located in the back yard of a residence acting suspicious. A weapon was located with them as well as some stolen property. A 21-yr-old Man from One Arrow and a 14-yr-old man from One Arrow were charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. A 28-yr-old Edmonton man was charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Breach of a Firearm Prohibition and a 14-yr-old Youth from One Arrow was charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Obstruct Police Officer, Breach of Undertaking X4 and Breach Recognizance X2. All four appeared in court Monday morning, Police are still investigating further.

On Friday July 16 at approx 845PM a 15 yr old youth from Prince Albert was robbed in the 1500 block of 2nd Ave W. Police located the accused a short distance away and have charged a 15-yr-old youth from Manitoba with Robbery a second 15-yr-old youth from Manitoba has been charged with Robbery, Carry a Concealed Weapon and Breach of Undertaking. Both males were held and appeared in provincial court yesterday

On Sunday July 18, 2010 at approx 225Pm Police attended a fight at 15th St and Central Ave. They arrested a 37-yr-old Sturgeon Lake man for assault on a Prince Albert woman. He was held and appeared in court Monday morning. The woman sustained no injuries.

At approx 4AM a 28-yr-old Prince Albert Male was arrested after he struck a police car, which was sitting with lights flashing, with the ATV he was driving. This occurred in the 2200 block of 2nd Ave W. Investigation continues for charges of Impaired Driving, Refuse Blood Test, And Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle. The man sustained minor injuries in the accident and was taken to hospital for treatment.

At approx 330Am this morning police received a complaint of a robbery in the 1200 block of 2nd Ave W. A short time later police apprehended two suspects in the 1200 block of Central Avenue. A 23yr old Prince Albert man and a 22-yr-old Montreal Lake man were arrested and charged with Robbery with Violence. Both males are being held and will appear in court tomorrow morning.
