On June 20th/2010 at approximately 8:55 AM Prince Albert Police were dispatched to the area of 15th Street and 5th Avenue East in regard to an incident where a pedestrian had come in contact with a train locomotive. Parkland Ambulance paramedics were already on scene treating the 18-year old male from Fond du Lac for facial injuries, and serious injuries to his legs. He was treated at scene and transported to Victoria Hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.
Police continue to investigate this incident. Initial indications are that the male jumped from the 6th Avenue Bridge and landed on the locomotive, suffering his injuries.
