New Files:
10-23028
On July 23rd at approximately 10:20pm a police vehicle, westbound on 7th Street from the 4-way stop at 10th Avenue East was struck by a vehicle southbound on 10th Avenue that failed to stop for the stop sign. The 28-year old Prince Albert male driver of the offending vehicle, as well as the officer operating the police vehicle, were both transported to the Victoria Hospital by Parkland paramedics where they were treated for minor injury and released. The offending driver was charged with Drive with Undue Care, and Disobey Stop Sign.

10-23317
On July 26th at approximately 1:00am a gas theft was reported to Prince Albert Police from a retailer on 2nd Avenue. The suspect vehicle was later located by a patrolling police unit, and when the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled. A check of the license plate showed the vehicle had been earlier reported stolen from rural Prince Albert. A pursuit was initiated that tracked through the west hill area of the City, then onto Highway #2 South. There was fog at the time, heavy in places, severely limiting visibility. PA Police members pursued the stolen vehicle into the Town of St. Louis, where the pursuit was terminated. The St.Louis Community Patrol had noted a vehicle matching the description of the stolen vehicle driving at a high rate of speed toward the One Arrow First Nation. As per policy, the RCMP was notified, and PA Police officers returned to the City.

The vehicle, a white 1998 Jeep Cherokee with Sask license 412GPX has not been located. Anyone with any information is asked to call Prince Albert Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477

Reminders:
Patrol officers are requesting that, yet again, the community be reminded to remove ANY and all valuables from view within their vehicles. Electronics, coins, wallets, sunglasses, packages, etc. Place these items out of view in the vehicle, place them in the trunk, or take them out of the vehicle. DO NOT leave them in plain sight. Vehicles continue to be broken into, sometimes with just a few coins as the target of thieves. The vigilance of a vehicle owner in keeping valuables out of sight may reduce the chance of their vehicle becoming a target.
