Further to Sunday’s release, Prince Albert Police responded to 269 calls from Friday at 7pm until Monday at 7am. 48 arrests were made, with 21 of those being for public intoxication. 12 people were taken to Court Monday morning.

On Saturday morning at approximately 7:15am, a patrol officer checked a parked vehicle with a male sleeping behind the wheel in the 400 block of 11th Street East. During a search of this subject subsequent to arrest, the officer located several dozen pills believed to be ‘ecstasy’ and a quantity of cash. 22-year old Anthony George LASAS of Saskatoon has been charged with Possession For the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act, and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime under the Criminal Code. He was remanded in custody and made an initial Court appearance Monday morning. He has since been remanded in custody pending his next Court appearance Thursday August 19th at 10:00am.

Jason Sunshine WATTENDORF, charged in the April 10th attempted armed robbery of the 2nd Avenue Conexus Credit Union, has been transferred in custody back to Saskatchewan after his arrest in Edmonton. He is scheduled to make his next Court appearance on Wednesday, September 8th/2010 at 2pm
 
 
Bridge Cameras:
Just a reminder that these cameras were budgeted for and installed by the City Engineering Department. They are monitored by our dispatch staff on a 24/7 basis, and show both a North and South view of the traffic lanes of the Diefenbaker Bridge. Their purpose is simply to monitor traffic flow. They are non-recording, and have no ‘zoom’ or other specialized features.
 
 
2010 CPCA Police Dog Trials (Prince Albert)
This national event will be held here in Prince Albert September 9th through 12thSunday September 12th will be a day for the public to come and view these impressive teams from all over the country as they are put through their paces at the Art Hauser Center. Admission is free to the public, with donations gratefully accepted at the door. 100% of the proceeds from this event will be passed on to the Prince Albert SPCA.
