The Prince Albert Police service responded to 229 calls for service from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon.  We also had a total of 54 arrests with 28 of these being for intoxicated in public.
 
Police members were kept busy by several calls that involved significant resources & time.
 
Friday evening, file 2010-27576 police responded to the South Industrial area where they received a complaint of damage to several businesses. 
PAPS canine services were deployed in an attempt to locate the person(s) responsible; an 18 year old male was arrested by patrol members in the area.  He faces charges of break & enter & willful damage.
 
 Saturday afternoon file, 2010-27671 police responded to the 1200 block of 17th St. West for a report of people fighting & a person had been struck with a baseball bat.  Several people were located in the area & taken into custody. A 16 year old male faces charges of aggravated assault & breach of undertaking.
 
Earl Sunday morning, file 2010- 27742 police responded to the 400 block of 19th st. East.  The female victim reported that she had just been attacked by an unknown male armed with a knife.  This matter is still under investigation.
 
Police deal with a distraught male on bridge 2010-27751. At approx. 0333hrs we responded to the Diefenbaker Bridge where a 26 year old male was located and contemplating suicide.  Police negotiators were again called, but the male was talked down by patrol members & transported to Victoria Hospital where he was admitted to the mental health villa.
