Reminders:

The PA Police Service would like to remind all bicycle owners to take a moment to record the serial numbers of their bicycles. Often the serial number is recorded as a part of the sales transaction, but those documents are either difficult to find, or they become misplaced. Serial numbers are crucial to having your property returned, and to proving charges of theft or possession of stolen property against offenders.

Please take a moment to record the serial numbers of any bicycle that you or your family own, keep them in a safe place, and remember to use and store your bicycles safely.

Viewing of bicycles seized by police is available Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm at the Prince Albert Police Service Headquarters building at 45-15th Street West. Please come to the front doors, and arrange to view the bicycles with a police member. Remember to bring proof of ownership, or the investigative file number you were given when you reported your bike stolen to allow you to claim it.

Citizens continue to be victimized by criminals seeking easier targets. Unlocked vehicles houses, shed and garages are sought by these people. Valuables that are in plain view, and non-secured and easily carried items (bicycles, chain saws, tools, etc.) are also targeted. Please take a few moments to secure your items and lessen the chances of becoming a victim.

Prince Albert Crimestoppers pays cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of any person involved in crime in our community. If you have information that could lead to an arrest, and want to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. That’s 1-800-222-TIPS, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week.
