On January 1st 2010 at approx. 20 minutes after midnight, police attended to 15th Ave East and 28th Street, Police observed 2 vehicles that were parked and had been struck by another vehicle. Police while conducting their investigation came upon a suspect vehicle with damage to its front end. Arrested was a Female driver dob: 1991-03-30 she has been charged with Impaired Driving, Refusal, Hit and Run and 2 counts of Assault Peace Officer. She appeared in court on Monday January 4th 2010. Damage to the 3 vehicles is approx. $12,000.00

On January 1st 2010 police while on patrol came upon a vehicle that had run into a tree in the 1400blk of 6th Ave East. Police located the driver in the vehicle along with a passenger that was attempting to walk away from the scene. Police arrested a Male person dob: 1981-12-06 and he has been charged with Impaired Driving and Exceed .08 he will be appearing in court on January 28th at 1:30p.m.
Damage to the vehicle is approx. $15,000.00.

On January 2nd 2010 police responded to an accident in the 1800blk of 14th Street West. A parked vehicle had been hit by a vehicle that was traveling in an East Bound direction. The operator of the vehicle has been arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Exceed .08 Total damage to both vehicles is approx. $25,000.00. She will be appearing in court on January 27th at 1:30p.m.

On January 4th at approx. 2:00a.m. A patrol member noticed a vehicle lose control and do a 360 in the middle of 9th Ave West in the 2500blk narrowly missing a vehicle. Operator of the vehicle was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Exceed .08. He will be appearing in court on January 19th 2010

In relation to the deceased 16 year old male person from the West Flat area home, at this time the police have nothing further to release and won’t until the results of the autopsy are known.

In relation to the 4 month old that was un-responsive in a West Flat area home, police will not be releasing any further information until the results of the autopsy are known.
Drivers are still being seen using their cell phones while operating their vehicles. Drivers have been warned regarding the use of cell phones while operating their vehicles. The fine is $280.00 including a $60.00 victim surcharge.
With the fluctuation of the temperatures the streets have become very icy, police are asking motorists to take extra time and slow down to prevent accidents.
Schools will be re-opening after the Christmas Break so motorists please be aware of students crossing streets and to slow down in the designated school zones and obey all the speed zones throughout the city.
