The Patrol Section of the Prince Albert Police Service responded to 266 calls for service over the weekend. 53 persons were taken into custody as a result, with 28 being arrested for public intoxication and 25 being charged criminally. Only 4 people were taken to the Brief Detoxification Centre at the Victoria Hospital, which was full at one point on the weekend. 15 persons were taken to Court this morning.

Calls for service continue to be wide ranging, and include neighbourhood disturbances, assaults, domestic disturbances, suspicious persons, alcohol related etc. Break and enters to sheds and garages continue to be reported, and citizens are reminded to secure these garages and outbuildings, and place all tools and other valuables out of sight and locked away.
