Robbery – April 6, 2018

A 13-year-old male is in custody after robbing a convenience store last night.

On April 5, 2018 at 7:50 p.m. patrol officers responded to a business in the 600 Block of 15 Avenue East for a robbery that had just occurred. The victim advised police an unknown suspect entered the business with a mask on and a knife and stole cartridges of cigarettes.

Officers immediately attended the area and located a suspect in the 900 Block of Allbright Crescent. After a short foot pursuit police took the suspect into custody for robbery. While pursuing the suspect on foot police observed the accused throw something which police latter located and confirmed were the stolen cartridges of cigarettes.

The 13-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with robbery, wearing a mask while committing an offence and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (Info # 991047013).  The accused will make his first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
