Weekend Update – December 11, 2017

The Prince Albert Police Service responded to 231 calls for service over the weekend and arrested 24 people. The top two calls for service were for intoxicated persons (22) and disturbances (25).

 

File #2017-41934: Drugs

 

On Sunday, December 10, 2017, Prince Albert Police Service officers conducted routine patrol of an apartment building on 900 Block Central Avenue. A male was located in the hallway that had an outstanding warrant and was arrested by officers. Officers searched the suspect and located a knife and a baggie of methamphetamine.

 

The 39-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public peace and being at large of his recognizance to not possess or consume drugs (Info # 991034368).

 

The suspect will answer to charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.

 

File #41809 Recovered Stolen Vehicle

 

On Sunday, December 10, 2017 at around 10 a.m. officers received a call of a suspicious vehicle that was parked in the driveway of 600 Block 21 Street East.

 

Upon investigation it was determined the vehicle was a van that had been stolen out of the driveway of a residence on Sherman Drive on the morning of Saturday, December 9, 2017. The vehicle was towed to the Prince Albert Police Service to be processed for evidence. The file is under active investigation.
