Media Release- October 1, 2019 Update

UPDATE- File 2019-32814 – Stolen Tricycle Located

The stolen tricycle referenced in Monday’s media release has been located. A member of the public located the trike and notified police, who were able to return it to its rightful owners. The Prince Albert Police Service wishes to thank the public for their assistance in locating this specialized tricycle.

File 2019-32876 - Vehicle vs. Pedestrian

Police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian incident Monday evening in the 2700 Block of Second Ave. W. The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. One man was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The incident is still under investigation and no charges have been laid.

File 2019-32839 – Recover Stolen Property

A member on patrol with the new Community Policing Unit arrested one man on outstanding warrants and recovered a stolen bicycle in the city’s downtown area Monday afternoon.

Police stopped the man around 3 p.m. Monday after he was spotted riding a bicycle on the sidewalk, a violation of Section 24 (a) of the City’s Traffic Bylaw. Upon further investigation, the 28-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants. The bike was also seized after it was reported to be stolen out of the La Ronge area in July.
