Members with the Prince Albert Police Service responded to 288 calls for service over the weekend. The majority of calls involved disturbances, intoxicated persons, and evictions.
File 2019-39961 – Assault with a Weapon
An arrest warrant has been issued for a 33-year-old man in connection with an assault at a residence in the city over the weekend. The 38-year-old female victim of the assault was taken to hospital with stab wounds to her shoulder following the incident, which happened around 4:30 a.m. Saturday. The suspect fled the home and remains at large. He is facing charges of assault with a weapon and overcoming resistance by choking.
The victim and suspect are known to each other.
File 2019-39875 – Robbery
Police were called to the 1200 Block of 28th St. E. Friday for a complaint of a robbery. A cab driver reported he was threatened by a man with a gun just before 5:30 p.m. Friday.
The man fled the vehicle with a small quantity of cash and a cell phone. No one was injured.
Police have identified a suspect and a warrant has been issued for his arrest on charges including robbery with a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, and breach of court orders.
