Prince Albert Police responded to 316 calls for service over the weekend and made 52 arrests. The majority of calls involved intoxicated people and disturbances.
File 2019-25505 – Aggravated Assault
A 38-year-old man will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court this morning charged with aggravated assault stemming from an incident early Sunday morning. Police were called to the 500 Block of 25th St. E. just before 3 a.m. after a resident reported seeing an injured woman outside a nearby home. PSD Jeb was deployed and located a suspect hiding in a garbage container. The 37-year-old female was taken to hospital for further care and treatment.
File 2019-25303 – Possess Prohibited Weapon
An 18-year-old man is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and breach of court order following an incident Saturday evening. Police were called to the 1500 Block of 10th Ave. E. around 9:30 p.m. for complaint involving bear spray. Police arrested the man without incident.
File 2019-25282- Impaired Driving
Police have charged a 43-year-old man with impaired driving and exceed .08 after responding to a vehicle collision in the 1300 Block of River Street East Saturday evening. The incident happened around 9:30 p.m.
File 2019-25194 – Wilful Damage
Police are investigating damage to several vehicles in the 1200 Block of 28th Street East over the weekend. Police responded to the area just before 5 a.m. Saturday for a complaint of tires being slashed. Police continue to investigate.
