Weekend Update – October 15, 2018

Patrol officers had a busy weekend responding to 242 calls for service between Friday night and Monday morning. Officers made 49 arrests. The top two calls for service were for disturbances (28) and intoxicated persons (27).

Impaired Driver/Motor Vehicle Accident - File # 18 – 33837

On Saturday, October 13 at 1:13 a.m., Prince Albert Police Service was dispatched to a business on the 800 Block of 15 Street East for a Reported Impaired Driver (RID). It was reported that the vehicle had stuck a light pole in the parking lot.

When police arrived, the car was still stuck on the raised cement curb supporting the light standard.

The female driver was on scene and arrested for suspected impairment. She was taken to the police station where breathalyzer tests were conducted which confirmed her impairment – exceeding .08.

The 28-year-old female from Prince Albert is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, exceeding .08, and breach of an undertaking to abstain from alcohol and other intoxicants (Information # 991068406).

The suspect has since been released and will make her first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court, October 23, 2018.
